Congratulations to all participants who joined us for the 4th annual Twilight Bay Run in Wynnum on Sunday 20 September. The 2015 event saw record numbers participate across all events. The half marathon event reached a sell out field of 1000 registrants for the scenic two lap course through Wynnum’s CBD. Whilst all participants were winners, the top three men and women positions in the half marathon were hotly contested and taken out by Jonathan Peters and Solveig Litchfield with Jonathan Peters breaking the half marathon course record set in 2013 by over 3 minutes.

Those finishing in approximately 2hrs were treated to a spectacular fireworks display over Moreton Bay. What a way to finish under the moon and stars with fireworks lighting up the night sky.

Over 1500 participants toed the line in the Twilight Bay 10km Run/Walk single loop course alongside the sparkling waterfront and through the Wynnum CBD. The local community including families were out in force with thousands crowding the streets of Wynnum and Manly to give people a cheer along the way. The community vibe and atmosphere welcome participants of all ages and abilities to get out and enjoy a fun filled family evening.

The first event to commence on race day was the Twilight Bay 5km Run/Walk, including many first timers and experienced fun runners. Almost 1000 enjoyed fantastic conditions on the spectator friendly course, before the sun set over Moreton Bay.
