The annual Twilight Bay Run will be held on Saturday 23rd September 2017. This event includes a Half Marathon, 10km Run/Walk, 5km Run/Walk and a 1km Active Kids Run. The 6th annual event is raising funds and awareness for our charity partner, MND & Me Foundation.

The following roads will be closed from 12pm midday on 23 September 2017:
Lower Esplanade/ Upper Esplanade/ The Esplanade (between Nelson Parade and Upper Esplanade).
The following roads will be closed from 3.30pm:

For CBD Businesses
Road closures will be in place from 3.30pm in the CBD. However, traffic will be permitted to move through by Police and Traffic Controllers where safe to do so. It is strongly recommended to use Florence Street as this will be set up to manage efficient traffic flows. Please note that between 5.10pm and 5.40pm NO TRAFFIC will be allowed on closed roads with two major events occurring during this time.
Traffic management infrastructure will be removed systematically as the last runners move through the course. Strict cut-off times will be enforced to ensure roads re-open as required by permit conditions. Specific closure and re-opening times will also be advertised on signage on affected roads two weeks prior to the event.
A fireworks display will be held at approximately 7.00pm. Please restrain any sensitive pets during this time.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times by Police officers, traffic controllers and event marshals.
Bus route 220 will be affected by the event. An alternative shuttle service will operate during these affected service times.
The Taxi Council has been advised of this event. Please allow for possible delays.
Please do not park along the course as this will restrict both access from the area during the race times and will impact on emergency vehicles needing to use the lane space.
No shared pathways or bike-ways will be used for this event; however, please be patient with high volumes of runners on the affected roads.
Please plan ahead to avoid any delays. More information may be viewed on the Twilight Bay Run website. For any further queries, please contact intraining Event Management on:
